Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has raised over $8.2 million in his first day as a Presidential Candidate. According to figures published by The New York Times, DeSantis has also raised more than the $6.3 million Joe Biden raised in his first 24 hours as a Presidential candidate back in 2019:

"The DeSantis sum includes both online contributions and donations secured by bundlers who had gathered on Thursday at the grand ballroom in the Four Seasons in Miami for what was called a Ron-O-Rama to make fund-raising calls for the campaign."

Campaign manager Generra Peck excitedly announced that grassroots Republicans are rallying behind Ron DeSantis' vision for America. “Governor DeSantis has built the strongest, most sophisticated organization in the history of American politics, and the tremendous support we’ve experienced in the last 24 hours will be critical as we hit the ground running in the early nominating states to share Governor DeSantis’ plan to revitalize the American Spirit.”

A pro-DeSantis super PAC called Never Back Down is planning to raise $200 million to help Ron DeSantis become the next President of the United States. They reportedly have an ambitious plan to knock on the door of every possible Ron DeSantis voter multiple times in New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina — and five times in Iowa. “We understand that in the first four states that peer-to-peer, neighbor-to-neighbor conversation and conversion is going to be extremely important," said Kristin Davison, the chief operating officer of Never Back Down.

Ron DeSantis Is Confident In His Ability To Win The 2024 Election

“You have basically three people at this point that are credible in this whole thing,” said DeSantis during a fundraising call last week. “Biden, Trump and me. And I think of those three, two have a chance to get elected president – Biden and me."

It's no secret that Ron DeSantis' campaign announcement got off to a rocky start. But once various technical issues got fixed, he took a subtle jab at Donald Trump - his main rival to become the Republican nominee. “We must end the culture of losing that has infected the Republican party in recent years,” said Ron DeSantis. “Government is not about entertainment, not about building a brand.”

Ron DeSantis also said the country is heading in the wrong direction. However, Ron claimed voting for him will help to get things back on track. “My pledge to you is this: If you nominate me you can set your clock to January 20, 2025, at high noon because on the west side of the US Capitol, I will be taking the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States. No excuses, I will get the job done.”

It's worth noting the $8.2 million raised by Ron DeSantis in 24 hours is currently outpacing the beginning of Donald Trump's 2024 fundraising campaign. However, since Ron DeSantis only launched his campaign this week, the future is uncertain as to whether the impressive rate of donations will continue.
