Ah, winter. The time of year when we're all forced into our homes during a snowstorm because it gets way too damn cold outside. Due to Covid-19, this winter will be a little different. But instead of complaining about the things we can't do, it's much better to focus on what we can.
Here are three things you can do in New York during the winter.
1. Watch a virtual broadway show.
Let's be honest... it sucks that we can't all go and watch a show in manhattan right now. So if you want to enjoy a show, your best bet is to stream one online. Tickets are donation-based.
2. Go ice skating.
I'll state the obvious: it's cold outside, and the roads are icy. Which means it won't be difficult finding somewhere to go ice skating with a few friends. Be sure to exercise a little bit of caution, so you don't injure yourself. But if you're looking for something fun to do, ice skating is a great choice.
3. Become a tourist in your own neighborhood.
Take a moment to think about how many times you've walked down a street on your way to work and never paid attention to the stores, parks, or anything else that you might have nearby. Use this moment to explore your own neighborhood. You never know what you could discover.
