DENVER, CO – National Hispanic Heritage Month is right around the corner. Each year, Americans observe this annual celebration from September 15 to October 15. The day of September 15 is chosen because it is the anniversary of independence for Latin American countries such as El Salvador, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.

As the state of Colorado has over 1 million population of Latinx residents and 607,694 Hispanics in the seven-county metro area, the City of Denver clearly has a lot to offer when it comes to Hispanic celebrations. So, here are things that you can do in Denver during the National Hispanic Heritage Month.

This exhibition is created to acknowledge the huge impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Americas. Biennial of the Americas features 21 artists from across the Western Hemisphere to share their loss, reflection, grief and hopes through art. The details of the events and programs will be announced soon.

This event is created to honor the diversity within the Latino community, not only from the Americas, but also from Africa, Europe, and Asia. Latin Fashion Week Colorado will feature plenty of talented artists and fashion designers with national and international recognition.

Salsa Central Denver has its own class every Wednesday called Wednesday Salsa and Bachata Lessons and Dance. This is the place where you can practice all night long, as well as meeting new people who love salsa. Salsa Central Denver will also provide information about salsa and bachata class and event.
