The actual cause of Tiger Woods’s car crash has been determined. However, details may never be released publicly. Let’s check out why.

Alex Villanueva, the sheriff of Los Angeles County, has said that the authorities need Tiger Woods’ permission to release the results of the investigation. This clearly means if Tiger Woods does not permit, the world will never get to know how the accident happened and what caused him so many injuries. The golf legend’s permission is needed to make the details of the investigation public.

45-year-old Tiger Woods received serious leg injuries when his car was crashed in Southern California on February 23.He was driving a Genesis SUV at that time, which hit a “Welcome to Rolling Hills Estates” sign. It immediately crossed the center divider and traveled over 140 feet across the shoulder of the road before stopping on the side of the driver. All these details were provided through a Los Angeles County affidavit.

What the Sheriff of Los Angeles County Has to Say?

Alex Villanueva is the sheriff of Los Angeles County. He has made it clear that all the contents are available but they will not release any information until Tiger Woods permits. "We have all the contents of the black box, we've got everything. It's completed, signed, sealed, and delivered," Alex Villanueva said during a live social media interview. "However, we can't release it without the permission of the people involved in the collision."

He further said that the department had reached out to Tiger Woods, but he did not allow them to share the details due to privacy issues. CNN also tried to contact the professional golfer. However, they could only reach out to his agent and lawyer who refused to comment on the matter at this point.
