Here comes the good news for Tiger Woods fans.

Rory McIlroy has made it clear that Tiger Woods is getting better and may be released from the hospital by next week. He made an appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” and talked a lot about Tiger Woods, saying that the legendary golfer is recovering from the scary crash that took place the previous month.

"If things go well over the next week or so, he might be able to get home and start his recovery at home, which will be great for him to see his kids, see his family. All of us are wishing him a speedy recovery at this point."

Rory McIlroy said.

This means if Tiger Woods gets fully recovered, he will be allowed to return to his Florida home the next week. Currently, he is at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in California and had surgery on the leg due to serious injuries he sustained in the car crash.

Tiger Woods car accident: What actually happened?

The 45-year-old golfer could not control his SUV, which rolled several times across the oncoming carriageway before touching a grassy embankment. As a result, Tiger Woods became unconscious. The first witness who arrived on the scene revealed that Tiger was seriously injured and had lost his senses completely.

He was brought to the hospital with multiple open fractures on Tuesday morning. He was to be extricated from the wreckage by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The 15-time major champion was alone in his SUV. The car was crashed at nearly 7 am local time (3 pm GMT), on a steep stretch of the road.

What Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva had to say about the accident?

Afterward, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva told the media that Tiger Woods was driving the car at a greater speed than normal and that the area he was driving in is known for a high frequency of accidents. His car got out of control during a downhill stretch of the road and there were no signs of skid marks or breaking because the card had hit a tree, and then came to rest after rolling over a couple of times.

Local authorities came to know about the accident at 7.12 am; the first responder reached the scene six minutes later. They found that Tiger Woods had lost his senses and was wearing a seat belt. He could not remove himself from the car and the Los Angeles Fire Department was called at around 7.22 am. They came there at 7.28 am and started their work of extricating Tiger Woods.
