The Arizona Dept. of Transportation (ADOT) announced yesterday that there will be 4 major highway closures in the Phoenix area this weekend.
Northbound Interstate 17 will close between Thunderbird and Pinnacle Peak roads from 9 p.m. Friday (Sept. 8) to 5 a.m. Monday (Sept. 11). As a result, both Loop 101 ramps to northbound I-17 will be shut down.
Next, the westbound US 60 ramp to westbound I-10 in Tempe will close from 10 p.m. Friday to 4 a.m. Monday (Sept. 11).
Third, Westbound I-10 will narrow to just three lanes between Broadway Road and 48th Street starting from 10 p.m. Friday to 1 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 9).
Lastly, Eastbound Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) will narrow to one lane between Higley and Power roads in Mesa from 5 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday (Sept. 11).
