Phoenix Weather Over Memorial Day Weekend Will Be Moderate

Mark Hake

The Phoenix, Arizona weather over the Memorial Day Weekend will be reasonably moderate, with a high of 101 degrees on Saturday, and 95 on Sunday and Monday.

This is the forecast from the National Weather Service, as of Saturday noon.

However, indicates that the high on Saturday will be 100 degrees, with a high of 93 degrees on Sunday and the same on Monday.

No rain is forecast to happen over the three-day Memorial Day weekend. In fact, the forecast shows no rain for the coming 7 days.

However, Saturday will have partly cloudy conditions throughout the city.

Other Vacation Cities in Northern Arizona

Many Arizonans will escape the big city and go north to get some respite from the triple-digit and upper 90s heat. Here is how the conditions look in two popular cities in the north.

Flagstaff is expected to hit a high of 74 degrees on Saturday, and 70 degrees on Sunday. By Monday, the temperature is forecast to fall to 68 degrees.

This is likely good news for Phoenix residents who are planning on traveling north over the weekend to get out of the Valley of the Sun.

Flagstaff is not forecast to experience any rain as well in the next 7 days.

Sedona, however, is forecast to hit a high of 81 degrees today, 84 on Sunday, and 82 on Monday. These temperatures, although better than Phoenix, are still very high for this time of the year.

Also, Sedona is at a lower altitude of around 4,000 feet, compared to about 7,000 feet in Flagstaff. Sedona is often seen as a preferred vacation spot given its year-round weather conditions.

Flagstaff is a bit cooler in the summer and much colder in the winter compared to Sedona. This makes for the appeal of both cities at different times of the year.
