Fort Worth City Embarks on a Journey to Increase Its Tree Cover from 18% to 30%
Fort Worth, Texas – A 2018 study by the Texas Trees Foundation determined that Fort Worth City has an urban canopy coverage of approximately 18%. The city has a goal of increasing its canopy coverage to over 30%. Set to start in the first quarter of 2022, this program is supposed to last for an estimated 15 years.
