Galveston, TX - Partnering with The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary, Becky Hollands, a Houston based fashion designer, will debut a 100% sustainable collection. Inspired by helping people overcoming homelessness, this collection will focus on mindful, luxury and sustainable style.
The theme for this year's Runway of Hope Style Show and Luncheon is “Through the Looking Glass- Reflecting on Service to Others.” Based on the theme, Becky Hollands’ will use her collection “Rediscover” as a reflection of how the pieces other people “given up on” can still bring “hope” and “new life” for others. She brings a brand new collection through recycling the donated pieces by using her own design and creation.
Becky Hollands’ original collection will be shown to the public on August 6, 2021 at Galveston Convention Center starting at 11 a.m. and early entry at 10:30 a.m. for VIPs. Everyone that attends this Style Show will have the chance to look at Holland’s new designs for her next collection.
The attendee will also be able to bid on the live auction for three of Becky Hollands’ pieces. These purchases will go directly to The Salvation Army of Galveston County as the fund raised for the mission.
This Houston based designer is the founder of the Becky Hollands brand. Hollands’ designs are described to have a timeless and modern touch with a hint of “effortlessness.” The source of her design inspiration is from her fondness for architecture, art, and her unique cultural background in a family of British and Chinese parents. According to her, “The Becky Hollands brand has been my greatest personal accomplishment and dream come true.”
