HOUSTON, TX - When we talk about summer activities in Houston, some might think that the outside is probably where all the fun is stored. Not necessarily true! Houston offers tons of fun indoor attractions and if you do not wish to tan, you can add these activities to your summer to-do list.

Ice Skating

Well, it goes without saying. If you cannot stand the summer heat and want to have a blast, going ice skating is the option for you. There are several public ice skating rinks available within the greater Houston area.

Memorial City Mall, located at 303 Memorial City Way, has an ice rink called Ice Skate USA. It is available seven days a week and the admission fee is $14.

Ice at the Galleria, located at 5015 Westheimer, opens every day for $19 admission and skate rental.

Formerly used as the Houston Aeros practice rink, The Aerodome is now available for the public. This indoor skating complex has limited public skate hours - 11:15 am – 3:30 pm weekdays around skating lessons and practices. The admission for public skate is $ 10, skate rental included.

Going to the Museums

Houston has many museums for you to choose and many of the museums are free. However, you might want to check their schedule and plan your special day.
