The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society runs the Gateway Garden at Drexel University. It is a beautiful oasis in the bustling center of Philadelphia – a gateway to University City, located at 32nd and Market Streets (3200 Market Street), which was once a broad expanse of highway and sideways. The Garden is a multi-use, serene outdoor gathering spot blooming year-round with various plants, trees, and horticultural delights. It’s the perfect spot for Drexel students, faculty, administration, alumni, and other visitors to meet for lunch, dinner, study groups, performances, a seasonal market, or anytime.

The Gateway Garden’s weekly “Meet the Brewers” beer garden events will be expanding this season due to popular demand. The beer garden events will run from April 6 to May 26 and every Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:30 pm. On tap for April are:

In this series, meet and get to know local brewers and taste a selection of beer and cider. Beer will be available for purchase to enjoy in the Garden or to-go.

Then from June to August, the beer events will be held every other Wednesday, and garden workshops every other Thursday.

You won’t want to miss this buzzing hotspot!
