Art in the Age, the experimental Old City bar and tasting room, known for its extensive bottle shop, professional-grade home bar supplies, and educational cocktail programming, is thrilled to announce the re-opening of its bar and tasting room, the only place in Philadelphia where imbibers can get the first taste of all experiential musings from spirits maverick Steven Grasse, with tasting flights and designer cocktails from the revitalized winter menu, in addition to a continued schedule of themed cocktail classes perfect for pairs or small groups looking to ramp up their mixology skills.
Following an extended closure that began at the onset of the pandemic, the chic bar and tasting room at Art in the Age now resumes full service with offerings spanning tasting flights of revered spirits from sister distillery Tamworth Distilling including Tamworth Garden Damson Plum Gin, a perfectly pink pre-Spring sipper, the House of Tamworth Deer slayer Venison Whiskey, the undoubtedly non-vegan spirit perfect for fireside sipping, the recently launched Skiklubben Aquavit, a traditionally Nordic spirit inspired by the storied Nansen Ski Club in Berlin, New Hampshire, and much, much more. Plus, to kick off the re-opening of the bar, Art in the Age is serving up the newest selection of wintry cocktails, courtesy of Art in the Age Mixologist Jackie Nevin.
“We’re very excited to welcome our friends and neighbors back inside to enjoy a cocktail, tasting flight, or a shot… Whatever the day calls for,” said Andrew Campbell, General Manager at Art in the Age. “It’s nice that we can now extend seating to those who are comfortable joining us inside while maintaining our heated Cocktail Garden for those who prefer outdoor seating.”
Seasonal sippers from the Art in the Age Winter Cocktail menu include:
- Chai Toddy -- Chai infused Kinsey Rye, housemade Chai syrup, Dram black bitters, hot water, garnished with a cinnamon stick and candied ginger.
- Mulled Wine Boulevardier -- Kinsey Rye from New Liberty Distillery, Antica sweet vermouth, Campari, spiced tea syrup, Mural City red wine, chilled spiced tea, and crude fig & cinnamon bitters, garnished with dehydrated blood orange and star anise
- Pear’d Up -- Pear-infused New Liberty Distillery Powderhorn Vodka, Dolin Dry, Yellow Chartreuse, lemon juice, Brut Champagne, tonic, and Dashfire Cardamom bitters, garnished with a thyme sprig
Cozy Hour specials are available both inside and outside from Tuesday – Thursday from 3-5 pm, featuring $2 off cocktails and $1 off local beer and cider.
Additionally, effective immediately, Art in the Age is offering Mai Tai Tuesdays, where guests can enjoy $10 Mai Tai at the bar all day every Tuesday.
The tasting room, bottle shop, and Cocktail Garden at Art in the Age are now open Tuesday through Thursday from 12 – 6 pm, Friday and Saturday from 12 – 7 pm, and Sunday 12 – 6 pm.
