EVERYBODY EATS, a BIPOC owned and chef-led nonprofit organization, fighting food insecurity, is bringing a lot of Brotherly Love to the town of Chester, PA in the form of a Food Hall set to open in early February for Black History Month.
Vittles Food Hall, located at 801 Sproul Street, an innovative and mission-led craft food hall, will feature five different Everybody Eats food concepts under one very big 12,000 square foot roof. The concepts will include: Everybody Eats Tacos (Mexican street food), Everybody Eats Burgers (gourmet burgers, pizzas and more), Everybody Eats Soul Food (traditional southern soul), Everybody Eats Salads (build your own salads and sandwiches), and The Perfect Catch (seafood).
Menus for each concept were created by the talented Everybody Eats 'All-Star Chef Team': Aziza Young (Chopped, Hell's Kitchen alum), Kurt Evans (The Worlds 50 Best Chefs), Malik Ali (Chopped alum), Gregory Headen (Chopped champion) and Stephanie Willis (Masterchef alum) who all have extensive experience throughout Philadelphia's restaurant scene.
What is unique and innovative about the Everybody Eats at Vittles concept is not only the plethora of food options available but also giving our patrons the ability to dine with us at their level of comfort. Because of COVID, the Everybody Eats team has had to think outside of the box to keep their staff and patrons safe. Pivoting and adjusting to the new normal, they provide a contactless ordering and payment system, drive-thru and walk-up windows as well as a sprawling main dining room with nooks to promote social distancing. Delivery will also be available via third-party services.
Vittles is a way for Everybody Eats to continue to help underserved communities creatively and directly, through youth mentorship, career path training, hiring, and volunteer opportunities.
