Opinion: Evicted homeless hotel residents spend holidays back on streets of Denver
I often write about the nonsense that transpires at Fusion Studios, the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless property where I live. There is a lot of noise and violence here and I often feel as though management tolerates too much. But people do sometimes get thrown out of here, and often they stay in the neighborhood when they return to the streets.

Colorado Coalition for the Homeless changing case management strategy, restructuring staff
Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is restructuring its staff and changing its approach to case management for its clients in permanent supportive housing, like me. My case manager first told me of the changes a couple of weeks ago as he dropped a bomb – he’s leaving the Coalition. He has taken a job with the courts. He had been my case manager for more than four years – the only case manager I’ve ever had. A few weeks before, my nurse told me she was leaving the Coalition to further her education. She said the Coalition is moving away from the “team” concept and her position had been eliminated. Both she and my case manager were offered positions in the shakeup that they decided not to accept. The assistant property manager also quit last week. He took a job with the Denver Housing Authority.
