Dunwoody may be known for Perimeter mall and the surrounding eateries, but venture out a bit further and you will rewarded with spectacular eats. Here are the best restaurants in Dunwoody.
Carbonara Trattoria
Tucked away in a strip mall in Dunwoody is Carbonara Trattoria. Owner Rafik Cressaty has been busy every night serving Dunwoody residents for the past 10 years. Items like Parmesan Crusted Grouper over Crab Risotto and a specials like a Veal chop perfectly prepared keep guests coming back. Desserts are imported from New York (don't miss that cheesecake)! Watch our video here.
Flemings Prime Steakhouse
Looking for a delicious steak restaurant to celebrate a birthday or anniversary? Look no further than Fleming's Steakhouse right in the heart of Dunwoody. They've got lovely booths perfect for snuggling up to your sweetie. Plus, there's a seasonal menu for those that aren't always in the mood for a steak, with killer cocktails too. But steaks ARE the star of the show here, so it should be a priority for any steak lover to try one. Make sure to make a reservation for weekends as the restaurant is a popular spot.
Portico
Just a stone's throw from the chain restaurants that litter Perimeter Mall is Portico, at the base of the Le Meridien hotel. The global cuisine has something for everything and the dining room is quite upscale - it feels like you are at an upscale restaurant, not dining in a hotel. Start with the Malaysian shrimp, jumbo and juicy. Then, choose from meal centric dishes like lamb chops or a Ribeye.
Novo Cucina
An absolutely stunning restaurant located in a strip mall in Dunwoody is this Italian gem, Novo Cucina. Pizzas and pastas are done right here. If you are looking for an impressive space that won't break the bank, this is it. Standout dishes are the Rainbow Trout (below) and the Ricotta, prosciutto and spinach ravioli. During the warm months the doors to the patio bring in the lovely weather. Heated patio seating provides more seating during the cold months but it will be full on weekends, so make sure to make a reservation. There's a multitude of gelato to satisfy your sweet tooth too!
Cafe Sababa
The restaurant opened more than ten years ago, run by Doni and Gil Tamli, brothers who infuse flavors from their dad’s Israeli and their grandparent’s Iranian heritage. Get the appetizer combo for maximum sampling, the falafel being the clear winner here. Try their soup and the daily special and you won't go wrong. It is a popular spot at lunch for office workers, so visit at off peak times to avoid a wait.
So where will you visit first?
