Food halls have become quite popular, taking unused buildings and transforming them into a fabulous spaces for vendors. It a super opportunity for budding food entrepreneurs to have the chance to show off their talent without committing to entire restaurant. Chattahoochee Food Works features some incredible food stalls highlighting cuisines such as Japanese, Thai, pizza, cheesesteaks, and more. What were they missing? A seafood stall. But now they've got one with Smoked Pearl, the newest stall at the West Midtown market.
There's a limited menu, like many of the other restaurants as there is not a huge space. But what they do, they do well. Start off with a selection of oysters. They have a rotating selection that encompasses everything from super briny to slightly sweet. Of course the full name is Smoked Pearl Seafood and ChAMPAGNE bar so, you should definitely indulge of some bubble. A sparkling Rose does go quite nicely with oysters.
Satiated from oysters, move on to mains, like the gumbo ($12) or Lobster rolls ($26 /each). The seafood gumbo has plenty of seafood to please any shrimp lover. But the Lobster rolls are really a treat. And, whether you want a warm or cold one, they've got you covered.
At Smoked Pearl, they also have specials and change up the menu quite often, so you'll want to go back often to see what's new. Who says you have to get all dressed up and pay a small fortune to enjoy oysters or other seafood? You can keep up with Smoked Pearl on their Instagram account - Smoked Pearl.
