Everyone at Hotel 45 goes above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay! 

I lucked out with the weather and was able to enjoy cocktails at the rooftop @hightalesmacon with gorgeous views and I was able to catch a glimmer of pink in the sky- they don't call this the pink city for nothing!!

My lovely, spacious room was perfect for my overnight in Macon. Plus once I arrived there was no need to leave as I enjoyed dinner @Loommacon! I had the best server, Charles, who helped make the solo dinner fantastic! 

My fried green tomato stack was the perfect comfort food followed up by succulent salmon entree. Plus, cocktails are unique to the restaurant and different from what's available at the rooftop bar, so I tried (and loved) the Reddy Teddy. It is made with Jalapeño-Habanero Agave, Red Bell Pepper, Cilantro, I could have sipped on these all night! 

Plus, just downstairs is the cutest coffee shop to enjoy a vanilla latte and bacon, egg and cheese croissant to start the day!

Canton, GA

Looking for an amazing patio with mountain views while you sip on the perfect craft cocktail? You have to visit @nuevosamigoscocinamexicana in Canton. They have not 1 but 2 patios. 

The upstairs is where to head for incredible cocktails like the Patecal with Aloe, Cucumber and Tequila or the La Caprichosa with muddled blackberries. Snack on some perfect chips and dip while taking in the mountain views.

Tip: make sure to order some of their off menu sauces to dip those chps in like the Jalapeno or Habanero dip. So delicious! 

Then it's on to patio number 2, their expansive outdoor seating complete with stage and herb garden. Yes, they grow most of the herbs used in their dishes here, plus many nights you can enjoy live music. 

We loved the Tour de Mexico which gives you a sampling of the best items and the Birria tacos. Shrimp diablo was excellent as well.

Would you consider a fancy restaurant that only offered plant based food? 🤔

I must admit, before dining at @planta I seriously thought 1. plant based food couldn't be enjoyable and 2. I would by hungry shortly after eating.

Plus they have zero alcohol wines and mocktails. My sparkling Rose was divine!

I truly enjoyed everything we had.

🍣 Caviar crunch roll (the "caviar" is kelp how do they make it taste so good??)

What makes for the perfect staycation in your opinion? To me, it means I can park the car and have everything I need for the perfect weekend within steps of my hotel room. @thehamiltonalpharetta definitely over-delivered on this - from the lovely welcome in our room (oh my gosh the rooms are huge with a seating area and separate bedroom) and beyond! 🌟🍹

We had cocktails and appetizers (nice end to the work week) at Carrie's Conservatory. Highly recommend the Periwinkle Albatross and the Tune in Tokyo (my personal favorite) with green apple, lychee, lime and bitters it was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. And at brunch the double smashburger and Espresso Martini were 💯

In the basement was the speakeasy, @roaring.social where we enjoyed a fabulous 80s band. It was lovely to end the night and be back in our hotel in minutes!  😎✨ 

Why you should plan a staycation at this Alpharetta hotel! 

Acworth, GA

There's this new fun and quirky spot called @thefountain_acworth you have to check out! It is owned by the cutest couple, Jason and Sera. They have extensive restaurant experience with Sera working for famed chef Hugh Acheson.

They have amazing Tiki cocktails and while I am not usually a rum drinker, I was in this night. The Smooth Operator is the cocktail to get but if you a gin lover get the Saigon Sunset! You really can't go wrong with any of these well-balanced drinks. They also have zero proof drinks too!

The menu is small, but the variety is grand with items like the tomato pie, Asian dumplings, a crispy pork and my favorite, the Trout Elote. Think of it like Mexican street corn with a luscious piece of fish on top.

They even have special nights with comedy and live music. Can't wait for fall to enjoy their patio too!

Dunwoody, GA

Forget what you know about food I'm guessing @thehallatashford is unlike any food hall you've experienced. You can make a reservation to dine here, they have WAITER SERVICE and they have food from 9 different food stalls. 👌

Think Italian, Asian, Mexican, seafood and so much more!! 😋

We had crispy shrimp, edamame and eggplant Bruschetta to start. Oh and that cocktail? Divine! Shrimp 🍤 Mofongo and salmon were tasty too.

I feel like I didn't even scratch the surface with all we tried. We already have plans to go back next month and are bringing friends so we can try even more!

New Dunwoody food hall  (9 stalls + water service) 

Enjoy playing darts? Well you need to check out @flightclubdartsusa - it's like darts but modern. The concept is really interesting with everything being computerized. Our foursome had a blast! We had the best server too -ask for Kennedy! 

The space is gorgeous and feels so much more upscale than your average sports bar. Try their specialty cocktails. My favorites were the Vicuna (slightly sweet made with Pisco) and the Lynx with lavender and gin – both pictured below. Specialty cocktails are $15 each and I would rarely say this, but they were worth every penny. 

Mini tacos (which come in orders of 5) are almost too cute to eat. We also tried the flatbread and steak sliders which were wonderful. But my favorites were the pork lumpia (kind of like an egg roll) and the Shishito peppers.

Protip: you get 90 minutes of playing time for $12. Parking is $6 /hr + they do NOT validate

Lexus just unveiled photos of the new TX scheduled to be released this fall! It has 3 rows and sits in the middle between the GX and the LX. 

The form of the TX shows that it is more similar to the Toyota Grand Highlander than the RX. Companies can maintain competitive prices and low production costs by making little changes to the sheet metal.

The 'Unified Spindle' grille, which has only slender horizontal lines, gives the Lexus TX's front end a sleek appearance. The Lexus TX will be manufactured at the Toyota facility in Princeton, Indiana. The first Lexus to be produced at this facility will be the TX. Not only that, but this will also be the first Lexus with a plug-in hybrid system to be made in the United States.

The TX 550h+ version of the 2024 Lexus TX won't be offered when it first goes on sale in the fall of 2023.

This restaurant is gorgeous with dark wood floors complimenting the gold velvet chairs and emerald tile. I also loved the cloth design on the ceiling.

Brunch cocktails 🍸 like the espresso martini and Aperol Spritz are the perfect drinks to compliment the Avocado 🥑 toast + and the burger 🍔 The thick burger is topped with crispy bacon 🥓 and house made burger sauce.

Discovered a fabulous new restaurant in Blue Ridge! If you love seafood 🦀🦞🦐🐟 you gotta visit The Cove Fish Camp.. It is especially great if you don't want to deal with the hassle of downtown Blue Ridge parking and crowds. We were staying at @overlookcabins and this was just a short drive away. 

I had no idea what a phenomenal meal we were in for! Luckily we caught the owner, Greg, there and he shared with us that everything is made in house except the fries which are specially cut -its like a cross between steak fries and curly fries. But their slice blend they put on them is house made too. Also don't skip the boiled peanuts!!

When it comes to hotels what do you prefer? A traditional hotel with check-in by a staff member, a lobby to hang out, and a restaurant on site OR a hotel that is contactless, similar to AirBnB style, with no staff interaction or common areas? 

We just stayed at a fun new hotel just like the latter in Macon, GA called The Woodward, which is locally owned (not part of a big chain). Besides being completely contactless, there are only 9 rooms. 

The only common area is the bar open in the evenings and you check in via keypad with the code emailed to you just before your arrival.

Would you let your car self park? I tried it and it was pretty awesome! 😍 We stopped by Audi South Atlanta and they did a demo of the self parking feature. We tried this on the new Audi Q4 e-tron.
