Kathy was entirely absorbed in her doll and paid it very little attention while a little brown monkey that was resting on the toy shelf below it chattered away. Kathy's doll was sitting on the shelf in the same room as the monkey. Kathy was concentrating very hard on her doll at that particular moment.

Beppo had sneaked into Kathy's dollhouse very early this morning and thrown all of the furniture inside into disarray by strewing it about the floor in a haphazard manner, which led Kathy to feel rather aggravated with Beppo.

I am at a loss to comprehend how you can maintain such a glum expression on your face. After she had finished reprimanding her doll, she went and fetched a washcloth and washed the doll very well before continuing to play with it. She then continued to play with her doll.

Beppo slept out and snuggled up against her arm in a fetal position. She attempted to frown, but her face stayed with the same expression the whole time, even though she was making an effort. Beppo was trying to win her favor by cleafavoris face with a doll's blanket, and all that was asked of her in return for his actions was a smile on her part.

Kathy gave Beppo a bear hug, and as they were holding each other, Kathy laughed and said, "Oh, Beppo! It's not that you're a doll; you're not!"

Beppo may have even entertained the idea that he was, which is most likely the reason why he entered the modest house in the first place. This is quite conceivable.
