Cava Restaurant, at 5295 Highland Road, will open soon.
A new dining establishment is soon to open in Baton Rouge. At the corner of Highland Road and Lee Drive, where a busy Circle K formerly operated, the building that will house Cava appears to be close to being completed.
Established in 2010 by boyhood friends, Cava is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant offering a healthy fast-casual experience. Rooted in the Mediterranean meal experience, its mission is to bring heart, health, and humanity to food by helping people eat well and live well.
Bowls and pitas at Cava feature fresh ingredients like Grilled Chicken, Lamb Meatballs, Falafel, Fresh Vegetables, Roasted Vegetables, and a variety of dressings such as Greek Vinaigrette, Lemon Vinaigrette, Lemon-Herb Tahini, Tahini Caesar, Garlic Dressing, and Hot Harissa Vinaigrette.
Customers can choose from several bowl combinations or build their own. Salad Bowls start with a base of arugula, baby spinach, Super Greens, romaine or Splendid Greens® and Grains Bowls start with a base of brown Basmati rice, saffron Basmati rice, black lentils, or RightRice®.
Pita choices include Crispy Falafel, Spicy Chicken & Avocado, Spicy Lamb Meatball, and Greek Chicken featuring grilled chicken, hummus, tzatziki, tomato, onion, pickles, feta, olives, shredded romaine, and Greek vinaigrette. Diners can also build their own pitas.
A kid's meal includes a mini-version of the build-your- own pita with a side of carrot sticks or pita chips and milk or juice. Aside from fountain sodas, made-in-house drinks include Blueberry Lavender, Strawberry Citrus, Cucumber Mint Lime, or Classic Lemonade and Jasmine Tea.
