It was a home sweet home return of Charlotte's pro Soccer team to Queen City. The soccer team returned to the newly renovated Memorial Stadium on Wednesday Night. While the city’s first-ever MLS team, Charlotte Fanclub, is set to kick off play next year, you don’t have to wait until 2022 to watch professional soccer in Queen City.
The Charlotte Pro Soccer team played home games in Matthews, N.C., and now the Charlotte Independence return to its home city and home ground. Jacks made their debut at the newly renovated American Legion Memorial Stadium on Wednesday night.
The first 1000 fans received a commemorative Grand Re-Opening mini soccer ball. There were massive fireworks after the game. It was a night for the fans and the viewers to be a part of the game and see the Jacks making their debut.
