The Price Fried Chicken walk-in shop, after 60 years in business, is closing. Charlotte's social media exploded with the unwelcomed news on Thursday morning. The Price Chicken Coop will be closing on Saturday morning. Just after the news came in, people began to line up outside the restaurant.

The Price Chicken Coop has set a bar for all the nearby chicken restaurants. A customer at the place said that I was born and raised in Charlotte. It's a landmark that we are going to miss. I used to walk here as a kid, and now it's going to be gone.

The iconic chicken vendor near the block always used to be full of long lines. The Price Chicken Coop opened in 1962 and was quite famous for its delicious fried chicken. The Price Chicken Coop was affordable and always went on everyone's budget.
