"To be the best company to work for in America" is the visionary goal for ABC Supply.

Today, the company sales exceeded $14.7 billion, and the Hendricks family privately owns it. This article will talk about the richest woman in the Hendricks family, who lives in Afton, Wisconsin.

Her name is Diane Marie Hendricks. Her net worth exceeds $12.2 billion, making her the 51st richest person in the country.

Who's Diane Marie Hendricks?

Diane Marie Hendricks is an American billionaire businesswoman, film producer, and philanthropist.

She was born and raised in Wisconsin on a dairy farm with eight sisters. At 17, she met a man and got pregnant, so she had to marry him but got divorced and became a single mother. For the coming few years, she worked in real estate.

In 1975, Diane met Ken Hendricks when she was selling custom-built homes, and he was a roofing contractor. He married her, and they became business partners.

In 1982, they secured a loan, established ABC Supply Co. Inc., and started a roofing material distribution business that focused on selling roofing materials, gutters, siding, windows, and commercial buildings.

They build an empire.

The couple started to expand their company by buying other supply centers such as Bird & Sons Inc. One year later, they had six stores, and by 1984 they had 25 stores, and ABC supply became one of the fastest-growing private companies in the county.

By 2007, at the time of Ken Hendricks' death, ABC Supply had 349 stores, and the company kept expanding and bought Ashley Aluminum and its 42 locations. Today the company has 800 locations with more than 15,000 associates and $12.1 billion in sales.

Ken Hendricks fell through a roof.

The irony of Ken Hendricks' death is that he died after falling through his home garage's roof when he was inspecting the construction of the roof.

In the last ten years, Diane Hendricks kept herself busy producing many movies, including The Professor (2018), Pandora (2019), and Departure (2019).

She has seven children and 17 grandchildren and lives in Afton, Wisconsin.

Diane Hendricks Philanthropy

Ken and Diane Hendricks founded The Hendricks Family Foundation to support nonprofit organizations in Beloit, Wisconsin.

The organization's simple mission is to invest in local solutions that shape, strengthen and sustain a thriving community. In addition, it focuses on helping youth to have a better future.

She also is not afraid to support conservative causes, and she gives them generously. In 2016, she donated $1.3 million to a super PAC called the Reform America Fund that opposed Hillary Clinton. She also became an economic adviser to the Trump campaign.
