The Band Twenty-One Pilots are Set to Appear Twice in Columbus

Liz Fe Lifestyle

The alternative band Twenty-One Pilots are set to come to Columbus, Ohio on their Takeover Tour. The band, made up of duo Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, originates from Columbus.

The group was formed in 2009 with Tyler Joseph and two former members before they were replaced with the drummer Josh Dun two years later in 2011. The pair are dedicated to their hometown of Columbus and they will be in the city for two days at Nationwide Arena on Friday, October 29th and Saturday, October 30th

This will be one of their first appearances in over a year, since the Coronavirius pandemic halted public gatherings like concerts. Tickets will be available on the website Ticketmaster until Saturday, June 19th at 8:00 pm.

This is such a breath of fresh air. With so many events still cancelled, including the Ohio State Fair and Scioto park, knowing that this event is still a viable option encourages people to get out of their house and enjoy summer.

This event also gives opportunities to local businesses to expect ticketholders to visit restaurants and shops in the area. Businesses rely on events to bring increased foot traffic to their establishments.

This is a growing concern for Columbus with businesses choosing to close altogether with the difficulty they're having just retaining staff, let alone attracting paying patrons. This is a creative way to get people out and about.

So if you're looking for a fun event and the first major concert since lockdown, give this a try.
