Hearty Breakfast Casserole - Simple Ingredients

A hearty breakfast casserole, easy to make while out at the campsite. You can use sausage, bacon or whatever you desire. Very versatile and easy to make. Pick your meat, pick your cheeses, add eggs and potatoes and bake. Recipe below: . 16 ounces frozen hash browns (defrosted), 1lb breakfast sausage, 2 cups cheddar cheese, 6 eggs, 1/2 cup of half and half, salt/ pepper to taste. Place hash browns in greased pan/Dutch oven, or cast iron pan. Next, spread cooked sausage on top, now sprinkle on cheese. lastly, pour egg/ milk mixture over. Bake at 300 degrees for 30-40 minutes in a camp oven like shown in video or cook for same time over the camp fire. Biggest thing is the camp oven with cook stuff faster on the bottom if heat to high so keep lower heat and check. Optional ingredients: onions and bell peppers can be cooked up with the sausage. #recipes #cooking #campbreakfast #breakfast
