A member of Bruce Willis's family shared an Instagram post from the account named @rumerwillis letting us know that he will be "stepping away" from acting after being diagnosed with Aphasia. Aphasia is a medical condition that affects cognitive abilities.

The Pulp Fiction (1994) actor has an amazing career spanning 42 years. He has played in box-office hits such as The Last Boy Scout (1991) featuring Damon Wayans, Armageddon (1998), The Sixth Sense (1999), The Fifth Element (1997), Sin City (2005), and The Expendables (2010). His first movie role was in the 1980 movie titled "The First Deadly Sin." He then appeared in many television series such as "Miami Vice" "The Twilight Zone" and "Moonlighting."

Die Hard (1988)

Apocalypse (1998)

Look Who's Talking (1989)

Look Who's Talking Too (1990)

Billy Bathgate (1991)

12 Monkeys (1997)

Last Man Standing (1996)

Friends (2000) TV Series 3rd Emmy Nomination

Over The Hedge (2006)

Red (2010)

Moonrise Kingdom (2012)

Looper (2012)

The Expendables 2 (2012)

He has three Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor-Television Series Musical or Comedy and two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Sadly, we will no longer see him on screen in his usual action-packed role unless he heals. With such a decorated career and many notable roles and appearances such as Saturday Night Live and G.I. Joe: Retaliation, we can all agree that he made an outstanding contribution to the world.

During his time on the tube, he grossed over 5 billion dollars worldwide making him one of the highest-grossing actors in the world. We wish his family peace through this trying time and hopefully one day we'll see Bruce Willis back on the screen.

Correction: It was previously reported that The Expendables 2 was released in 2010. This has been updated to the correct release year 2012.
