The latest update in this story: The latest on the serious drunk driving crash on Cliff Road in Eagan
We continue to work on getting the official details from the Eagan Police Department on the serious injury accident that occurred at Slater Road and Cliff Road in Eagan, Minnesota, just before 10 PM on March 26, 2023. The Eagan Police Department has confirmed that Scott Andrew Kahnke was arrested after the incident. While the Eagan Police Department has not publicly confirmed this was a fatal accident, his initial charges show Vehicular Homicide and DUI, the serious accident last night at Cliff Road and Slater Road. According to his arrest records provided by the Eagan Police Department and Dakota County Jail, Kahnke is currently being charged with two felony counts, one gross misdemeanor and a misdemeanor, following the accident. The following are his charges:
- Probable Cause Criminal Vehicular Homicide - Alcohol Concentration 0.08 or more within 2 hours of driving -FELONY
- Criminal Vehicular Operation - Great Bodily Harm - Alcohol Concentration 0.08 or more within 2 hours of driving - FELONY
- Traffic DUI - Third-Degree driving while impaired, one aggravating factor - Gross Misdemeanor
- Fleeing a Peace Officer by means of other than a motor vehicle - Misdemeanor
