While many think the Coronavirus is a good enough reason to keep online daters locked in, a survey reveals otherwise.

Popular dating website, Seeking Arrangement has released a new survey, revealing that couples in lock down-laden 2021 are still choosing to carry out their Valentine’s day plans despite the pandemic still lurking among us.

38.4% of the daters surveyed attested to this while almost half (49.5%) of them said they have changed their Valentine’s day plans in light of the virus.

What’s surprising, however, is that 41% of these daters also revealed that they would be keen on going out for Valentine’s day.

As for gifts this Valentine’s day, jewelry, flowers and trips were the most popular ideas, while cash, designer handbags, chocolate, lingerie and shoes all attributed to the top ten gifts most asked from significant others.

“Lockdowns are hard for those in love. People want connection and to be with that special person. While we absolutely stress the importance of staying vigilant and complying with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO) we still encourage our members to embark on their dating pursuits.” said Brandon Wade, CEO, and Founder of SeekingArrangement.
