Not Many Would Want To Miss A Tour To A Historic Gold Mine!

Located on the northeast of charlotte at a distance of 20 miles is this historic Reed’s Gold Mine. It is the site of the first document gold found in the US in 1979.

The Reed’s Gold Mine is also designated a National Historic Landmark and listed on the National Register Of Historic Places thanks to its rich history.

But the best thing for us is that the gold mine allows visitors to visit this historic site. The visitors can visit the underground mines, sift for gold and explore the stamp mill, all for free. If you also want to do something other than this, you can also pan for gold, which will require $3, which I guess is worth it.

Everybody loves gold… I mean, who doesn’t? And for people into gold and its accessories, this place is a gem, especially for people in charlotte.
