Who doesn’t love the idea of visiting a thrilling amusement park with their best friends and enjoy some time amidst a crazy, fun environment that too in such difficult times? No one isn’t it!
My friends and I have been coming to Carowinds since our childhood, and I’ve got to say that our recent visit was the most special of all. It was only because lately, I’ve been going through some financial problems, and amidst such a worrisome everyday life, a break from the problems was damn special!
The Carowinds has an array of rides that pose a different level of thrill, challenge, excitement and difficulty. Since my friends and I have been visiting the place since childhood, we are familiar with all the rides, and we have got our favs.
On our last visit, some of the rides that we visited were:
- AFTERBURN
Afterburn is a coaster ride that is a must-visit when visiting Carowinds. The ride embodies the high flying speeds and gravity-defying maneuvers of a fighter jet. This thrilling experience is for sure ready to take you in its awe.
- BARRACUDA BLASTERS
This ride posses a different thrill from the first ride. The Barracuda Blasters consists of two long, twisting tunnels that are entangled in each other. The ride starts with you entering the slide, which seems like a black hole due to its darkness. Then you will glide through the twists. Finally, after going through considerable twists and turn, suddenly comes the end of the slide, which pushes you in the pool with an immediate splash!
- DODG'EMS
This ride might sound a bit “kiddy” to some but trust me, nothing beats the feeling of suddenly crashing into your friends ride without worrying about getting our car damaged! We ride this ride every single time we visit Carowinds only due to the nostalgia this ride provides since our childhood. However, this ever-famous ride sure is a children’s delight as well as a nice little family ride ever since.
These are just a few of many thrilling rides in-store at Caroway, and it is just a phenomenal escape from everyday life for me, my friends, and I am sure for my fellow Charlotteans too!
