NASHVILLE, TN — Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will launch season two of Words & Music at Home this week. Words & Music at Home is a virtual program aimed to help everyone from beginners to professional singers to write songs and express their feelings. Season two features in-depth interviews with songwriters, discussions of their creative processes as well as the tales behind some of their biggest songs.
The shows will air on YouTube every Thursday at 7 p.m. Central, beginning on August 5, 12, and 19. Singer-songwriters featured are Maddie & Tae on August 5, BRELAND on August 12, Charlie Worsham on Aug 19. The final episode features Ruby Amanfu and Sam Ashworth, along with Community Outreach and Museum Programs Manager Adam Ollendorff and producer and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Dailey to wrap up the program.
Viewers can interact from the comment section of the video. It is recommended that they take part interactively in the discussions with the musicians. Worry not for those who cannot join with the live event, the recorded version will be accessible to watch on-demand on the museum’s youtube channel, Facebook, and website.
Words & Music is the museum’s main educational program. Since its inception in 1979, the program has taught songwriting to 150,000 individuals. Due to the pandemic in 2020, the program shifts to a virtual event for health & safety reasons. The program, which focuses on lyric writing, offers the beautiful experience of country music's songwriting heritage while teaching participants how to express their feelings.
