NASHVILLE, TN — Nashvillian-you better be excited as the Raising Cane’s will be opening their first Nashville-based store in 2022!
The fast-food favorite Raising Cane’s will open their first branch in West Nashville at the Lion’s Head shopping center. Raising Cane’s signature menu, including their signature dressing sauce, fried chicken fingers, Texas Toast and coleslaw, will be available in the restaurant.
Before opening their first fast-food restaurant in Nashville, they have many considerations on deciding their location. Following the report from Tennesseans, Raising Cane’s is planning to open their joint in Nashville in 2022. They will also open another branch, located on 36 White Bridge Road, just a few hundred feet away from Trader Joe’s, on the former site of Wendy’s.
Raising’ Cane Chicken Fingers, also called Raising Cane’s, is a fast-food restaurant founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by Todd Graves and Craig Silver in 1996. As of now, they have more than 500 locations across the country and have done their first international expansion to Kuwait in 2015.
Currently, the closest location from Nashville is located in the Knoxville area, near the campus of the University of Tennessee. During the pandemic of COVID-19, they have easily adapted and switch from dine-in to pick-up and takeaway in most of their places, and some are switching back to dine-in options.
The Raising Cane’s mascot was Raising Cane, a yellow Labrador owned by Graves and has been a certified therapy animal for him. The latest successor, Raising Cane III was adopted by Graves in January 2018.
The company hopes to open its first location soon in Nashville in 2022 and be able to serve Nashvillian customers.
