NASHVILLE, TN – The Nashville Department of Transportation is looking for Administrative Services Division Manager. The preferred education is to possess a master's degree in Planning or an appropriate field with eight years of experience in planning at the public sector.

The candidate must be able to analyze the rapport between land-use and transportation planning. This position will conduct project development for transportation infrastructure, in which candidates are expected to master the knowledge about the process itself. Besides, the ability to deliver technical and statistical data to lay individuals is important to build the same understanding.

This position will work closely with local, regional, and state agencies to conduct coordination and make sure that the progress of Metro’s transportation plans is on the track to achieve the goal and the purpose as planned. The administrative manager will also work with the NDOT director to advise on planning, funding, and grant-related issues on project transportation.

The manager will be the representative of the Metro Government and NDOT at meetings to conduct planning and related transportation initiatives. Responsible in supervising the daily activities and functions, including scheduling, assigning tasks, reviewing work, manage goals, objectives, and priorities.

Candidates must be able to oversee the development plans proposal to ensure that the plan is aligned with the NashvilleNext General Plan and the Major and Collector Street Plan, which require coordination with multiple Metro agencies.

In conjunction with purchasing staff, candidate will evaluate the selection and contracting process for employing consultants and provides oversight of consultants that are awarded the contract.
