NASHVILLE, TN – Tennessee Governor, Bill Lee with Community Development Commissioner, Bob Rolfe, and Chewy, Inc. officially announce that Chewy, Inc will expand its e-commerce fulfillment center to Wilson County.

“Wilson County has seen tremendous job growth in the last few years as companies continue to relocate and expand in the region. Chewy’s decision to locate its newest e-fulfillment operations in Tennessee underscores our state’s pro-business climate and skilled workforce. These 1,200 new jobs will have a significant impact on Wilson County, and I appreciate Chewy for choosing Tennessee,” said Gov. Bill Lee.

Chewy Inc. will open its new fulfillment center at Couchville Pike and Maddox Road in Mt. Juliet. If all goes well, it will start operating in fall 2022. The expansion of the company to Wilson County also brings positive impact, as they will hire about one thousand and two hundred workforces.

The company was established in 2011 with two headquarters in Dania Beach, Florida and the other one is in Boston, Massachusetts. Chewy is one of the leading pet e-commerce. They serve customers with a wide range of products for their pets, like supplies and pet prescriptions. They provide over two thousand curated brands which are trusted for their customer satisfaction.

Bob Rolfe also congratulated Chewy on their success and warmly welcomed the expansion of the company to Tennessee.

Rolfe said that Tennessee is ready to welcome the new e-fulfillment center by Chewy, and that the alignment of ideal geographic area and the multimodal transportation infrastructure play the key role in supporting this cooperation.

As thousands of new job fields are created, Chewy will be one of the top three largest employers in Wilson County.
