NASHVILLE, TN — Stand Up Nashville is a non-profit organization that focuses to create equitable, inclusive and democratic economic development. They aim to ensure every individual gets equal opportunities in Nashville, for this city has experienced rapid growth over the years. This is to reduce the negative impact on Nashville’s working-class communities, so racial and economic inequities are less likely to happen.

They put efforts to battle the current issues such as systemic racism, corporations driving policy, political disenfranchisement, gentrification, lack of accountability and state interference in local solutions.

By the background of the problem that exists, Stand Up Nashville intends to drive fellow Nashvillians to make a difference with the power they have. They believe that by uniting altogether, they can build up the communities, establish high-quality jobs, and enhance a better future for Nashville.

Stand Up Nashville encourages communities to take part in the process where they work on organizing racial and economic equity, creating innovative policy, being responsible to stand up for what is right and going up against unjust laws, policies and politics.
