NASHVILLE, TN – Barrette Outdoor Living will expand its operations in Hawkins County, as announced by Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, Commissioner of Department of Economic and Community Development Bob Rolfe, and the company's officials.

“Job creation in rural Tennessee is crucial to our state’s economic success, and I thank Barrette Outdoor Living for its investment in Hawkins County. Northeast Tennessee continues to provide companies with the ideal, business-friendly environment to support growth and success,” said Governor Bill Lee.

Barrette Outdoor Living is a manufacturing company of fencing, railing, and exterior products. It was established one hundred years ago in Canada and employs about two thousand people nowadays throughout North America. One of the biggest employers in Hawkins County, the company opened its business in Hawkins Country in 2001 and has over 700 employees.

“As one of the top five employers in Hawkins County, Barrette Outdoor Living has established itself as a valuable corporate partner in the Northeast region of our state. These 160 new, family-wage jobs will make a tremendous impact on the area’s workforce, and we appreciate Barrette Outdoor Living for its continued investment and job creation in Tennessee,” Bob Rolfe said.

The company will invest $33 million and create 162 new jobs in Bull Gap. It will build 40,000 square feet more manufacturing spaces, includes extruders, co-extruders, cooling tanks, and extra fabrication and packaging equipment.

“The State of Tennessee along with Hawkins County, Bulls Gap, and TVA have been excellent partners in our growth and we appreciate their continued support in the ongoing expansion of our business,” added Gary Williams, vice president of Operations at Barrette Outdoor Living.
