HON calls for the 2021-2022 HON AmeriCorps cohort

NASHVILLE, TN — Hands On Nashville is currently looking for new members through the 2021-2022 HON AmeriCorps cohort. The positions available are for the community partner engagement leader and the volunteer project leader.

The 2021-2022 cohort members will run the program from August 2021 to July 2022. The new members will receive networking opportunities, skills training and professional development during their service at Hands On Nashville (HON).

Community partner engagement leader works to improve the capacity of HON’s community partner program, which provides high-quality volunteer recruitment support to partnering agencies. They develop and maintain relationships with various nonprofits to achieve the goals.

Volunteer project leader works as an on-site leader responsible for developing, researching and organizing new project ideas. They develop and build exciting volunteer opportunities that engage the community and eager volunteers in the Nashville area.

The community partner engagement and the volunteer project leader will work with a thirty-member cohort of community-focused individuals. The AmeriCorps cohort welcomes entry-level or experienced professionals who want to develop their skills and career in nonprofit management.

The HON AmeriCorps program is a program of Corporation for National and Community Service. The program aims to build non-profit capacity through a partnership between HON and participating AmeriCorps host sites.

The 2020-2021 HON AmeriCorps cohort accepted twenty three enthusiastic members. The 2020-2021 cohort worked at twelve Nashville non-profits last year, including HON.

HON is accepting candidates on a rolling basis through August 1, 2021. Currently, three other host organizations, which are Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, Community Resource Center and Nashville Diaper Connection, are also looking for new members.
