A new grocery store has opened in San Jose this week.
Where most stores get their fruits and veggies from places that are more than 1,500 miles away, this food market are doing something different by getting most of their fresh food from nearby farms.
Opened over the Memorial Day weekend, the popular fresh food chain gives people in San Jose fresh food and a unique shopping experience.
Freshness and Local Farmers Celebrated
Sprouts Farmers Market is built around the fresh fruits and veggies in the center. It also emphasize healthy foods, like organic, plant-based, and gluten-free products.

Sprouts care about the community, too. For example, they're working with a group called Second Harvest to help people who don't have enough food. They also have a catering service, so you can order food for parties or events online and pick it up at the store.
