A popular California-based family-style pizza chain, is set to expand into Colorado with new locations in 2023.

The chain is known for its mouth-watering pizzas, fresh daily dough, and signature crispy, curly pepperonis.

Colorado is the eighth state in which Mountain Mike's operates, and according to QSR, the expansion is seen as a natural next step as the brand continues to grow across the West.

Record Sales in 2022 Drive Mountain Mike's Pizza's Expansion into Colorado

The expansion into Colorado follows years of record sales for Mountain Mike's, with 2022 seeing the company open 20 new restaurants and sign more than 25 new franchise agreements.

The first Mountain Mike's Pizza in Colorado is expected to open in Parker in May 2023.

Jim Metevier, President and Chief Operating Officer at Mountain Mike’s Pizza explains the expansion to Colorado:

“A family dining tradition for more than four decades throughout California, we are now being greeted warmly in new states throughout the Western U.S. where our franchise partners are experiencing record-breaking success – underscoring the tremendous opportunity for passionate entrepreneurs and successful multi-brand franchise operators to reap the benefits of joining one of the nation’s leading family-friendly pizza concepts.”

A Family Dining Tradition

Besides pizza, they also offer a variety of other menu items, including chicken wings, garlic sticks, and dessert pizzas.

Not only do they serve a delicious mix of traditional and specialty pizzas (the Everest with Italian sausage, linguica, bell peppers and olives is one of the most popular), but their cupping pepperoni is a traditional favorite.
