Children's theatre is a great way to get your children involved in a project. Whether children are auditioning or simply enjoying the theatre shows their sure to gain some knowledge and a love for theatre. Many schools and school theatre groups enjoy trips to the Children's theatre.
Launched by the Junior League of Spokane, Spokane Children's Theatre was established in 1946. Today, the theatre continues to entertain children of all ages. With groups from all over Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho, the theatre has over 10,000 visitors annually.
As a non-profit, Spokane Children's Theatre is a 501C3 organization per the information from the IRS. As the oldest children's theatre, the goal is to provide enjoyable theatrical entertainment for children of all ages and their families. Theatre programs are both educational and affordable.

Currently, auditions for Cinderella will be held in August. You can find more details on the auditions here. To audition, you'll be required to prepare a one-minute song with sheet music or a CD. Please make sure that there are no vocals on the chosen music so they can hear your voice. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes for dancing and ensure that hair is tied back out of the face. No songs from the show that is being auditioned for are allowed. However, a pianist will be available if you need one. If you're auditioning for either Cinderella or Madame, selecting a song that will show your soprano range is important.
Spokane Children's Theatre offers a variety of shows throughout the year. Show times vary according to interest. School groups and other groups are encouraged to consider annual season tickets. Please call ahead for group and subscription rates.
