This past Saturday, the Hope to Dream Fundraiser took place in Cincinnati. The event was a huge success, and as a result, 75 Greater Cincinnati children will be sleeping in their own beds from now on! This fundraiser was organized by St. Vincent de Paul's in order to provide beds for kids who would otherwise have to sleep on the floor or in makeshift beds.
What is the A Hope to Dream nonprofit organization?
The A Hope to Dream program provides new mattresses and bedding to children living in poverty who do not have their own beds to sleep in at home. The mission of A Hope to Dream is simple – “To give children from impoverished homes the dignity of a good night’s sleep so they can wake up refreshed and ready to learn, play, and succeed in life.”
Who is St. Vincent de Paul?
St. Vincent de Paul is a national Catholic organization that has been helping those in need since 1833. In Cincinnati, St. Vincent de Paul provides furniture, clothing, and other necessities to families and individuals in poverty.
Every summer for the past 6 years Morris Furniture & Ashley, St. Vincent, and WCPO in Greater Cincinnati have partnered to make Hope to Dream come true for children in our community. This year they provided 75 new mattresses and bedding for children in need.
Why 75 was the magic number this year?
Because this is the 75th Year Anniversary of Morris Home! What an excellent way to celebrate 75 years by helping give 75 beds to children across the Greater Cincinnati area!
If you would like to donate to St. Vincent de Paul or learn more about their mission, please visit their website. They have donated close to 500 beds in 2022 to children in need and this is all from the help of the neighbors/people caring to donate to this great cause!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this wonderful cause! Every child should have a bed to sleep in every night, so they can dream of the amazing dreams to come true and nurture the world that we live in.
