Did you know that summer is peak moving season in the US? An estimated 80% of moves take place during these months. Here in El Paso, that number may be higher considering that Fort Bliss has around 160,000 Servicemembers (and families).

My family is included in this summer military move to Fort Bliss number. I love learning about new places and exploring locally owned businesses instead of big box stores. A few weekends ago we stumbled on Chuco Relic’s West location.

Whether you’re a local, transplant, or simply passing through, this souvenir shop is a must-visit.

Chuco Relic is a one-of-a-kind souvenir shop for all things El Paso. The owner, Chelsie Evaldi, had a mission when she started the shop—to let everyone know that El Paso/Juarez Frontera is the best place to live and visit.

Inside the shop, you’ll find goodies from tee-shirts and jewelry to postcards and mugs. Stickers, placemats, coasters, and handmade pillows, they have it all. 90% of the items carried in Chuco Relic are locally made by more than 30 local artists. Looking for a place to share your created goods? From the website, local artists can fill out the inquiry form to chat with the shop.

On a time crunch? Items may be purchased online and either shipped or picked up, at your convenience.

If you’re looking for local goods or want to purchase a unique gift, visit one of Chuco Relic’s 3 locations.
