Simi Fehoko's Potential Expanded Role on the Cowboys in the Upcoming Season

Cowboys' Simi Fehoko, a third-year wide receiver from Stanford who plays for the Cowboys, has faced challenges when it comes to getting playing time in Dallas. Despite being selected in the fifth round of the 2021 draft, he has only played a total of 43 offensive snaps. Looking ahead to the 2023 season and considering the current wide receiver lineup, Fehoko's prospects for playing time don't appear to be much better. Perhaps Fehoko's best chance of making it onto the Cowboys' active roster is by taking a similar unconventional path as Noah Brown did five years ago. Before 2022, Brown had a specialized role on the team, serving as a complement to other more established pass-catchers in the position group. Sometimes, the less-traveled path can be the path of least resistance.
