The Dallas Cowboys signing cornerback Kyron Brown to two-year deal...

The Dallas Cowboys began training camp with an open roster spot and while many thought that it would be Malik Hooker to fill it, those plans have, at the very least, been delayed. Just before Sunday’s practice (the third one of camp for Dallas) got going it was reported by ESPN that the Cowboys are bringing in a veteran defensive back, except it is cornerback Kyron Brown and not any other safety. It is reportedly a two-year deal... Brown went undrafted in 2019 and has only spent time with the New York Jets to date. He hung around with them early on his NFL career, but injuries and other drafted players left him as the odd man out in that organization. The Cowboys can still of course sign someone like Malik Hooker if they feel so inclined, but they are now at 90 players on the roster with the signing of Kyron Brown. If they want to sign somebody else, anybody else, they will need to release someone who is currently on the roster in order to do so.
