News Break | The Dallas Cowboys Bring in QB Brett Hundley for a TRYOUT ☕

The Cowboys don’t seem to be content with their current options for a backup quarterback. After meeting with veteran free agent Jeff Driskel recently, Dallas is now bringing in Brett Hundley as a potential QB2 candidate. Hundley’s most recently played with the Cardinals from 2019-2020 and Seahawks in 2018. But the Cowboys’ interest likely stems from his first stop in the NFL; 2015-2017 with the Packers under Mike McCarthy. After joining Green Bay in 2015 as a 5th-round draft pick, Hundley spent that rookie year as the third-string QB and then moved into the backup role in 2016. He wound up starting nine games for the Packers in 2017 after an injury to Aaron Rodgers. Like Driskel, Hundley brings far more experience to the QB2 competition than any of Garrett Gilbert, Ben DiNucci, or Cooper Rush. Gilbert and DiNucci each only have a single start in their careers from last season, while Rush still has none in his four NFL seasons.
