Obion County, TN- With the 2021-2022 school year coming to an end, the submission of final grades and the release of the long-awaited "Top 10" list. The Top 10 list is something that every hard-working student strives to make, especially during their senior year in hopes of becoming the top two and receiving the honor of being named the Valedictorian and Salutatorian.
On Thursday, May 12th, Obion County Central hosted their annual Honors Reception, recognizing the top 10 from each grade level, 9th through 12th. The names that are read during the Honors Reception are in alphabetical order and do not indicate who the top two from the senior class may be.
The evening also hosted a guest speaker, introduced by Guidance Counselor Heather Kendall, Alumni Jentri Gilbert Nelson. Nelson spoke on her post-high school graduate experience and told her testimony in hopes that it would inspire the students in attendance to "never give up and to just keep pushing."
Those who received a Top 10 recognition are listed below.
