ATLANTA, GA — Wild Encounter is one of the Zoo Atlanta programs. This program is designed to provide an opportunity for people to see one of the most iconic native species. The closest upcoming program will be held on Friday, July 23.
By joining this program, you will not only meet and feed some of the incredible primates, but also learn what you can do to save this endangered group of mammals.
Wild Encounter is held on April 2 – November 1, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 11:30 a.m. It is required to register prior to the day on the Zoo Atlanta website. Please note that the availability to register for this program is limited.
The cost is $40 for non-members, excluding zoo admission, and for members, the cost is $36. The minimum age that is eligible to participate is 4 years old. Wild Encounter adult is required to accompany children 15 years old and under. It is also required that every Wild Encounter adult purchases a ticket.
Wearing face masks is required for this program and it’s also encouraged for everyone to implement the social distancing protocols, at least six feet from each other.
Due to uneven terrain, the potential for loud sounds, tight spaces and low lighting, not all behind-the-scenes and encounter spaces is accessible. A full refund for cancellations is available for a request more than seven days prior to the scheduled visit. For reschedule requests in less than seven days before the scheduled visit, there is a ten percent of rescheduling fee, based on the total cost of the reservation.
