ATLANTA, GA — How to take off the stress that has been building up for days or months? One natural way is by laughing. In fact, laughing is good for the soul and one of the best medicine there is. Laughing activates and relieves stress.

If you are in Atlanta, head off to the Colony Square Midtown at 1197 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30361, and join Laughing Hour on the Square. The event takes place every first Monday of the month. It started back in April and will go through October.

Enjoy fun, safe and socially distant entertainment from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the outdoor Plaza. Ticket to the event costs $20 each, with one ticket accommodating up to four people, and must be purchased in advance.

Due to the holiday, shows on July 5 will be moved to July 12, 2021 with a theme of Dad’s Garage. The following show will be on August 2 with Punchline, on September 13 with Whole World (also moved due to the holiday) and the last show on October 4 with Dad’s Garage.

With each ticket, guests to the show will be provided with a complimentary bottle of wine and one blanket for ground seating in the Plaza. Attendees are welcome to bring their own additional blankets and chairs.

Parking validation will be provided to the event. Attendees are not allowed to bring outside food and beverage, but takeout from the onsite restaurant is encouraged. The committee continue to monitor COVID-19 closely and the wellbeing of the community is always on top priority. For the guests' safety and the safety of others, they encourage to wear masks until they reach the designated spot.

In accordance with the recent executive order signed by Governor Kemp and the latest CDC-issued guidance, they are now opening the Laughing Hour to the public and had eliminated ticket sales since June, so the event is complimentary. Guests are still strongly encouraged to practice social distancing and wear masks while on the property. Seating at the event will be properly spaced, with a first come, first served basis. However, guests are allowed to bring their own blanket and chair to the property.
