The family and their lawyers including the ever-present Civil Rights Attorney Ben Crump held a press conference July 20, 2022, in which they accused the Police in San Bernardino, CA, of fatally shooting 23-year-old Robert Adams execution-style! Adams’s mother claims she was talking to her son at the time of the incident and her shots being fired and that Adams was holding a cell phone not a gun.
The San Bernardino Police Department put out a Critical Incident debrief video that can be seen on Facebook, that disputes the family and Attorney’s views including a picture of a gun police say belonged to Adams that was loaded and found at the scene.
According to San Bernardino Police Chief Darren Goodman, the officers shot Adams because he failed to comply with their commands and continued to hold the gun as he potentially tried to seek a position of cover to shoot from behind parked cars. According to the report, the involved officers feared for their safety at this point and the officer involved shooting occurred.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the San Bernardino Police Department.
Social and political activist Najee Ali posted on Facebook, a justice rally for Rob Adams is planned for July 23rd, Saturday at 11am at San Bernardino City Hall.
