If your New Year’s resolutions for 2022 included trying a gluten-free diet, the ‘Gluten Free Life’ article series will be a helpful resource for you.
Gluten Free Life with Lashaun Turner introduces and reviews ready-to-go meal and snack products that are certified gluten free.
I also share information & resources for living the 'Gluten Free Life' . The first product I’ll be talking about is Progresso’s gluten-free Homestyle Chicken Soup.
But first, let’s find learn more about “gluten” and why some people are eliminating it from their diets.
What is Gluten
Gluten is a family of proteins found in grains, including wheat, rye, spelt, and barley. It is common in foods such as bread, pasta, pizza, and cereal.
Gluten may trigger adverse inflammatory, immunological, and autoimmune reactions in some people.
Gluten Free Diet
A gluten-free diet excludes any foods that contain gluten. It means eating only whole foods that don’t contain gluten, such as fruits, vegetables, meat, and eggs, as well as processed gluten-free foods like gluten-free bread or pasta. - Hopkins Medicine
