This question still has me stumped - where can you find the best pizza in Lake County, Florida? I'm even willing to drive a bit if that's what it takes. I've tried many places and most have been disappointing. Can you share your favorite pizza places in or around Lake County? Here are some of the best spots I've discovered:
Piesanos Stone Fired Pizza: this local chain now has 10 locations in north and central Florida. In Lake County, they are located at 1754 East Highway 50 in Clermont (352-717-5300) and at 729 Kristine Way in The Villages (near the Lake County / Sumter County border, 352-350-7360). Both locations offer dining at the restaurant, carry-out, or delivery by Doordash if you're close enough). We've been to their Villages location and the food was excellent. They bring garlic rolls to your table if someone is ordering an entree (outstanding). I tried their pizza and my husband had an entree and we enjoyed both.
Flippers Pizzeria: this is another Florida chain that we've come to really enjoy. They have locations in Clermont Crossings (2523 US Highway 27, Clermont, 352-242-2214), near Brownwood (2957 Traverse Trail, The Villages, 352-633-7809), and in Spanish Springs (986 Alvarez Avenue, Lady Lake, 352-750-1919). They advertise using fresh, all-natural ingredients and they cook their pizzas in a 600-degree brick oven. We've dined in their Villages locations and have enjoyed their Toscana Cheese Bread Appetizer with dipping sauce and their pizzas. They offer dine-in, take-out, and delivery.
